Love in Disguise
📋 Drama Overview
The essentials — before you press play.
Yoon Yi-jun (Yim Si-wan) is the successor to Taekang Group and the prime suspect in a shocking murder. Kang Jae-hee (Seol In-ah), a former special forces officer turned detective, does not have the evidence to bring him in, so she takes the long way around: she disguises herself as a man and gets hired as his personal secretary, close enough to watch his every move.
Proximity does what interrogation could not. The nearer Jae-hee gets to what really happened, the nearer she and Yi-jun get to each other, and both are carrying something they cannot say out loud. She hides her identity, he hides a secret. Love in Disguise premieres on tvN on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 8:50 PM KST, and runs 12 episodes every Monday and Tuesday through November 24.

✍️ KDramaWorlds Editor’s Take
Our genuine take on whether it’s worth your time, and who it’s for.
A woman posing as a man to guard the one person she suspects of murder is the kind of premise that either collapses under its own logic or becomes a delight, and the casting suggests tvN is aiming for the second. Yim Si-wan has made a habit of playing men who are hard to read, and a chaebol heir with a body-count question hanging over him fits that habit well. Seol In-ah gets the harder job: she has to be convincing as a secretary, as a man, and as a detective, sometimes in the same scene. If you liked the workplace-disguise energy of Undercover Miss Hong, this is playing in the same neighborhood with a darker engine.
The adaptation matters too. The Kakao web novel behind it was serialized for nearly three years, so there is plenty of plot to draw on, and a 12-episode order should keep the mystery from sprawling. The romance has an obvious tension built in: the closer Jae-hee gets to the truth, the more she has to lie to him about who she is. Fans of the boss-and-assistant dynamic in What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim will recognize the setup, minus the comfort of knowing nobody is under suspicion.
We have not seen a single episode, so treat all of this as anticipation. What we can say is that the hook is clear, the leads are well matched on paper, and the Monday-Tuesday slot gives it a steady weekly rhythm. We will update this page with episode recaps as they air.
