Next Door, Francesca
📋 Drama Overview
Everything worth knowing, before the opening credits.
Jang Woo-ju (Kim Hyun-jin) has given everything to one goal: medical school. He is the model student, the class president, the one teachers trust. Then Pi Na-young (Han Su-ah), a vampire transfer student from Romania, arrives at his school, and he ends up as the keeper of her secret and, by default, her tutor and guide to ordinary school life.
Next Door, Francesca is a spin-off of the 2005 MBC sitcom Hello, Francesca, moving its vampire world into a 2026 high school. It premieres Friday, November 6, 2026 on Wavve, with two episodes released each Friday across four episodes in total. The question the teasers keep circling is Na-young’s own: is that racing heart love, or just a vampire’s instinct?

✍️ KDramaWorlds Editor’s Take
Our honest take — is it worth your time, and who’s it really for.
The setup is a classic school romcom engine: the perfect student who cannot afford a distraction and the new arrival who is nothing but one. Making the new arrival a vampire who bickers her way through homework gives the premise a built-in running gag and a built-in risk. If you want the school-romance side of the equation done in a more grounded key, True Beauty is the obvious reference point on the site.
Han Su-ah and Kim Hyun-jin lead, with Lee Seung-gyu as Yu-hyeol, a second vampire who warns Na-young not to get close to humans. The special appearances matter as much as the leads for viewers who grew up with the original: Shim Hye-jin returns as Francesca, alongside Park Seul-gi as Sophia and Park Hee-jin as Ahn Seong-daek. For a supernatural romcom that treats its fantasy rules lightly, My Demon is a good companion watch.
No episode has aired, so this is anticipation, not a verdict. The premise is clear, the cast mixes new faces with old favorites, and the teaser promises a light tone. We will add recaps once the episodes start.
