🏁 Ending Explained

What actually happened Tae-on finally corners Hae-ra, convinced she has seen through the plan and can be finished. But Hae-ra saw that coming and started a live broadcast the moment she got into the ambulance. Viewers watch Tae-on try to wriggle out of an emergency arrest tied to the attempts on Kim Sang-goo and Ga-on, and the lie plays out in front of the audience Hae-ra spent the whole drama building.

The Goddess of Revenge (2020) — Kang Hae-ra turns the final confrontation into a live broadcast

Who falls with her Mr. Choi’s confession ties Tae-on to the murder of Cha Yi-hyun and stops her from walking into the CEO’s chair she was about to take. Sang-goo is left in a coma after a betrayal by his own daughter, and Mr. Choi gives up his freedom in exchange for the chance to put her behind bars. The court of public opinion and the court of evidence finally agree on the same person.

Min-joon’s move Min-joon, as Ga-on’s only family and legal guardian, uses the stock Sang-goo gave the boy to call an emergency board meeting and move to remove Tae-on as representative director. He also puts dismantling FB Group on the table as the ultimate punishment. After a whole drama as a lawyer who wins by being cold, his final act is an inheritance fight fought on behalf of a child.

The Goddess of Revenge (2020) — Cha Min-joon forces the FB Group board to confront Kim Tae-on

What it means The ending answers a question that the drama keeps circling: is revenge a private act or a public one? Hae-ra’s channel has been a way to give the wronged a witness, and the finale is the version where the target is the one with everything to lose from being watched. Min-joon’s arc is the counterweight. He first treated Hae-ra as a tool for his sister’s case and ends as the partner who protects her.

The last image Hae-ra does not retire. She decides to keep running the channel until nobody has to swear revenge again, and Min-joon promises to stay at her side. It is a tidy and warm close rather than a bleak one, and some viewers found it a little too neat for such a harsh story. The Kim family is broken, the survivors have each other, and the channel stays on.

The Goddess of Revenge (2020) — Hae-ra and Min-joon look ahead as the revenge channel carries on

✍️ KDramaWorlds Editor’s Take

Our genuine take on whether it’s worth your time, and who it’s for.

📡 Livestream Revenge ⚖️ Lawyer and Avenger 🏢 Chaebol Downfall 🔥 Weekend Thriller

The hook is simple enough to explain in a sentence: a woman is ruined by her own husband and starts a revenge channel. What keeps it moving is that each early case, from the assault at the CEO’s office to the organ auction, gets its own payoff before the larger story arrives. If you liked the clean setup of Perfect Marriage Revenge, this is the same appetite for a satisfying comeback, with a tougher, more public edge.

The Goddess of Revenge (2020) — cinematic still

Kim Sa-rang plays Hae-ra with enough steel to make the stunts believable and enough exhaustion to make them cost something, and Yoon Hyun-min gives Min-joon a chilly lawyer’s calm that slowly cracks. Their alliance is the engine. Yu Seon makes Tae-on a villain who can be both polite and terrifying. Viewers who enjoyed the justice-by-spectacle of Revenge of Others will find a similar appetite for public exposure here.

The back half is where it loses some of its crispness. The identity reveal around Ga-on is a lot to ask of coincidence, and a few secondary figures exist mostly to move the plot along. The finale is also gentler than the rest of the show. Still, it was a 2.9% finale on a cable channel that deserves more attention than the numbers suggest.

👍👍👍 BEST FOR 👍👍👍
📡 Viewers who like revenge dramas with a modern, online twist ⚖️ Fans of a lawyer-and-avenger partnership that grows into trust 🏢 Anyone who enjoys a chaebol family falling apart on screen

⚖️ Final Verdict
What works
•Kim Sa-rang carries the lead with grit and vulnerability
•The livestream device pays off in the finale rather than staying a gimmick
•Early episodes deliver clear, satisfying wins

What to know first
•The middle stretch leans heavily on parentage coincidences
•The ending is warm and neat after a harsh story
•It aired on TV Chosun, so ratings stayed modest despite good word of mouth

7.6 / 10— A pacy, satisfying revenge thriller that is better than its modest ratings suggest.
