Happy Anding

Here’s our honest verdict, and who’s going to love it.

Dramas about people who are not yet famous work when the failure feels earned, and Happy Anding starts with a good measure of it: a trio called Asura that was once the rookie of the gag world and has watched a decade go by. Kang Hoon leads it as a man who only knows extreme gags, and he arrives here fresh from My Bias, My Boss, where he played a very different kind of lead.

The ensemble is the draw. Cho Hyun-chul plays a member pulled between the stage and a ten-year relationship, Kim Jeong-jin is the thrifty manager, and Lee E-dam and Yoon Ga-i play sisters, one of them a devoted fan. If you like tvN stories about people chasing something while life keeps interrupting, Twenty-Five Twenty-One is the obvious companion.

No episode has aired, so this is anticipation, not a verdict. The teaser has the trio laughing at their own jokes, the Friday-Saturday slot suits a weekend watch, and the 12-episode length keeps the premise tight. We will add recaps once the episodes start.
