Contract MarriageHidden IdentityFemale BodyguardSmall Town2025 K-Drama

Kim Yeong Ran has spent her whole life surviving — debt, danger, and a body trained to take a bullet so someone else doesn’t have to. When Ga Seong Ho, the terminally ill chairman of the powerful Gaseong Group, offers her a contract marriage and three months of playing a completely different person, she doesn’t hesitate. The money is real. The threat is real. And the scheming heirs trying to block the inheritance would happily make her disappear.

Undercover as “Bu Se Mi” — a warm-hearted, unbothered kindergarten teacher in the sleepy village of Muchang — Yeong Ran discovers that maintaining a false identity among strangers is harder than she expected. Especially when Jeon Dong Min, a sharp-eyed single father and strawberry farmer whose son is in her class, starts asking the kind of questions she can’t answer honestly. The real danger is in Seoul. But the problem, for now, is this infuriatingly perceptive man who won’t stop looking at her like she’s someone worth figuring out.

📺 Episode Guide

All 12 episodes — spoiler-light recaps with the moments that matter.

Ms. Incognito Episode 1 — The Offer EP 01
The Offer
Sep 29, 2025 · ENA / Genie TV
Kim Yeong Ran has a clean record, a strong resume, and zero savings — the kind of bodyguard who takes every job and asks questions later. When Ga Seong Ho, the powerful chairman of Gaseong Group, summons her with a proposition that sounds insane on its face — contract marriage, false identity, three months in a village — she doesn’t walk out. The money is real. So is the danger lurking behind his polished family. She signs before she fully understands what she’s agreed to.

Ms. Incognito Episode 2 — Welcome to Muchang EP 02
Welcome to Muchang
Sep 30, 2025 · ENA / Genie TV
Yeong Ran arrives in Muchang as Bu Se Mi — warm smile, soft voice, the whole performance. The village falls for it immediately. Everyone except Jeon Dong Min, a single father who drops his son off at kindergarten while looking at her like she’s a word he can’t quite translate. She’s trained to handle physical threats. She has no script for a farmer who simply does not believe her.

Ms. Incognito Episode 3 — Cracks in the Cover EP 03
Cracks in the Cover
Oct 6, 2025 · ENA / Genie TV
Village life suits Yeong Ran more than she expected — she’s actually good at this. But keeping her guard up around Dong Min is exhausting. Back in Seoul, Ga Seon-yeong has already begun pulling threads, determined to find out who this mystery wife is and why the chairman chose her. Lee Don monitors the situation quietly from the sidelines, loyal to a plan that isn’t fully revealed yet.

Ms. Incognito Episode 4 — Old Instincts EP 04
Old Instincts
Oct 7, 2025 · ENA / Genie TV
A threat materializes in Muchang — not the subtle kind. Yeong Ran handles it with the kind of efficiency that has nothing to do with kindergarten teaching, and it shows. Dong Min sees more than he should. Rather than back away, he moves closer, that suspicious look in his eyes shifting into something harder to read. Seon-yeong is no longer asking questions. She’s sending answers.

Ms. Incognito Episode 5 — The Lawyer and the Farmer EP 05
The Lawyer and the Farmer
Oct 13, 2025 · ENA / Genie TV
Lee Don shows up in Muchang, officially to check in, unofficially to gauge how well Yeong Ran is holding the line. Meanwhile Dong Min has accumulated enough inconsistencies to build a case — though he doesn’t know against what exactly. A small act of genuine kindness from Yeong Ran breaks through the performance, and she feels it too. The mission and the feelings are starting to conflict in ways she didn’t plan for.

Ms. Incognito Episode 6 — Seon-yeong Moves EP 06
Seon-yeong Moves
Oct 14, 2025 · ENA / Genie TV
Ga Seon-yeong dispatches people to Muchang with one clear instruction. Yeong Ran handles them — efficiently, and in a way that leaves Dong Min with no more room for rationalization. He saw what she did. He knows the kindergarten teacher story doesn’t hold. The question now is what he does with that knowledge, and whether she can get to the three-month finish line before her cover collapses entirely.

Ms. Incognito Episode 7 — Something Real EP 07
Something Real
Oct 20, 2025 · ENA / Genie TV
Dong Min stops trying to catch her in a lie and starts trying to understand her instead. It’s a subtle shift, but Yeong Ran feels it. The warmth she’s been performing starts becoming something she doesn’t have to fake around him and his son — and that’s more dangerous than any hired threat Seon-yeong can send. Hints surface about what really happened to the chairman’s daughter, and Seon-yeong’s involvement takes a darker shape.

Ms. Incognito Episode 8 — The Choice EP 08
The Choice
Oct 21, 2025 · ENA / Genie TV
The most direct threat yet reaches Muchang — no subtlety this time. Yeong Ran has to choose between preserving the cover and protecting the people who have no idea what’s happening around them. She chooses the people. Dong Min confronts her directly, and for the first time she doesn’t deflect. She tells him enough — and watches him decide whether that’s enough to trust her.

Ms. Incognito Episode 9 — Partial Truth EP 09
Partial Truth
Oct 27, 2025 · ENA / Genie TV
Yeong Ran gives Dong Min a version of the truth — enough to explain the combat skills, not enough to explain the inheritance. He sits with it. The village remains blissfully unaware of how close danger is, and that insulation feels increasingly fragile. Lee Don’s role in all of this grows more complicated, and the question of where his real loyalty lies starts to matter more than anyone expected.

Ms. Incognito Episode 10 — The Final Push EP 10
The Final Push
Oct 28, 2025 · ENA / Genie TV
The three-month clock is almost up and Seon-yeong knows it. She makes the most dangerous move yet — one that puts both Yeong Ran and Dong Min directly in the line of fire. The inheritance battle is no longer a legal problem. Lee Don’s loyalties clarify under pressure. And the evidence Seon-yeong has been hiding — evidence that connects her to something irreversible — begins to surface in ways she can’t control.

Ms. Incognito Episode 11 — Exposed EP 11
Exposed
Nov 3, 2025 · ENA / Genie TV
Bu Se Mi stops existing. Yeong Ran’s real identity breaks through the surface and the village can’t put it back. The fallout with Dong Min is what it is — complicated, bruised, and not entirely resolved. But the bigger reckoning is coming: Seon-yeong’s crimes, including her role in the death of the chairman’s daughter, are no longer a rumor. They’re about to become a court record. The final confrontation is not a question of if — only how.

Ms. Incognito Episode 12 — Kim Yeong Ran EP 12
Kim Yeong Ran
Nov 4, 2025 · ENA / Genie TV
The finale earns its warmth. Yeong Ran takes down Seon-yeong — not just physically, but legally, with Lee Don delivering the evidence that closes the case cleanly. The inheritance transfers as Ga Seong Ho intended. The contract expires. And Kim Yeong Ran, no longer Bu Se Mi and no longer hiding, gets to choose what happens next for the first time. She goes back to Muchang. Dong Min is still there, strawberries and all.

✍️ KDramaWorlds Editor’s Take

Our honest read on why this drama is worth your time — and who it’s for.

🥷 Undercover Op🍓 Rural Warmth💼 Chaebol Scheming❤️ Slow Burn

The opening two episodes of Ms. Incognito are genuinely excellent — tightly constructed, kinetic, and anchored by Jeon Yeo-been doing what she does best: playing someone who has learned to survive by being unreadable. The premise is ridiculous in the best way (contract marriage, fake kindergarten teacher, rural village full of too-observant farmers), and the show knows it. The first hour has the confidence of a drama that has figured out exactly what it wants to be. Then it takes a left turn into a slower, warmer, much more inconsistent middle stretch — and a portion of the audience never forgives it for that.

Ms. Incognito (2025) — cinematic still

The divisive element here is the tonal inconsistency — and depending on what you came for, it either kills the drama or becomes its texture. If you wanted a taut crime thriller where the female bodyguard uses her skills at full capacity throughout, the middle section is genuinely frustrating. Yeong Ran is objectively overpowered by the antagonist’s reach in ways that don’t fully track with her demonstrated capabilities. But if you’re willing to let the drama become something warmer and messier — about a woman who’s never been allowed to feel safe anywhere actually building a life — there’s something genuinely moving underneath the plotting problems. Jang Yoon-ju as Ga Seon-yeong deserves particular mention: she’s one of the more terrifying villains of the year, cold and controlled in a way that makes the chaos she engineers feel surgical rather than theatrical. Her arc against Vincenzo-style chaebol scheming wouldn’t feel out of place.

Ms. Incognito is the kind of drama that’s easier to recommend in retrospect than in the middle of watching it — the finale works, the villain gets a proper reckoning, and the ending gives Yeong Ran the specific, quiet thing she’s been missing her whole life. The gap between what the first two episodes promised and what the show actually delivered is real. But Jeon Yeo-been keeps it worth watching throughout, and the warm landing justifies the patience it asks for. Think of it as a drama that has two great episodes bookending a decent romance — and decide accordingly.

👍👍👍 BEST FOR 👍👍👍
🥷 Fans of Jeon Yeo-been’s cool-under-pressure energy 🏡 Viewers who enjoy a fish-out-of-water romance with actual stakes 🐍 Those who came for the villain — Jang Yoon-ju is worth every minute

⚖️ Final Verdict
What works
Jeon Yeo-been carrying both registers — action and warmth — without dropping either
Jang Yoon-ju as a villain who earns her menace through composure, not chaos
The Muchang village dynamic — charming, specific, and genuinely warm
A finale that earns its happy ending without rushing past the villain’s downfall

What to know first
The thriller momentum from Episodes 1–2 does not sustain through the middle stretch
The FL’s bodyguard skills feel underpowered after an impressive setup
Logic gaps accumulate as the antagonist’s reach grows implausibly vast
Best watched in longer sittings — the pacing issues feel worse in weekly episodes

7.6 / 10Start it for Jeon Yeo-been. Finish it for Jang Yoon-ju. Stay for the ending.
