Teacher Kim comes back from his collapse and picks up exactly where he left off. Eun-jae, after nearly walking away, chooses Doldam and Woo-jin both. Park Min-guk finally stops running from what he did years ago, and Do Yoon-wan’s long campaign against the hospital ends the way it probably always had to — with Doldam still standing, on its own terms.

Full spoilers from this point — what happened, and why.

What Park Min-guk actually learns Min-guk’s arc resolves less with an apology than with an acceptance: he stops trying to take Doldam over and starts actually working inside it, finally facing the bus-accident guilt he’s spent years converting into ambition instead. It’s the season’s real emotional payoff, quieter than anything happening in the operating room.

That change in Min-guk is what makes the season’s ending feel earned rather than just resolved — the antagonist actually has to become a different person, not just lose.

Eun-jae and Woo-jin choose each other, and Doldam Eun-jae’s brief departure isn’t really about leaving the hospital — it’s about whether she trusts herself enough to stay a surgeon at all, phobia included. Coming back, with Woo-jin, answers both questions at once: she’s staying, and so is whatever this relationship has become.

Neither of them gets a dramatic declaration. They just show up to work together the next day, which somehow lands harder.

Doldam wins its independence — again Do Yoon-wan’s campaign to dismantle Doldam collapses for the second time in two seasons, and Teacher Kim’s full recovery puts him back exactly where the season needs him: still there, still unwilling to let the hospital become anything other than what he built it to be.
