A man who cannot stay dead is a fun premise, and the part that makes this one work on paper is the opponent. Black can bend other people to his will, yet Seok Hwan is the single person immune to it. That sets up a chase where each side holds something the other cannot beat, and it puts Koo Kyo-hwan and Shin Seung-ho back across from each other after D.P..

The film is based on a webtoon, and the setup reads like one in the best sense: a clear rule, a rising cost and an escalation built into the concept. Fans of Holy Night: Demon Hunters will recognize the appetite for fantasy action, although this one keeps its focus on a single hunted man and the two people who stand by him.
