Ma Kwang-sook marries Eagle Brewery owner Oh Jang-soo expecting a quiet, happy life as a post office worker turned CEO’s wife — and loses him to a highway accident just ten days into the marriage. Instead of walking away from a brewery and four brothers-in-law who barely know her, she takes over both, turning a tragedy into the job nobody expected her to want. Her path keeps colliding with Han Dong-seok, a wealthy, guarded hotel chairman who reads every one of her moves as an angle until he can’t anymore.

Across 54 episodes, this KBS weekend drama does what the format does best — stacking a slow-burn romance, a corporate sabotage plot, and four separate sibling arcs on top of each other without any of them feeling like filler. Uhm Ji-won carries the show as a woman who never asked to be anyone’s breadwinner and becomes one anyway, one stubborn decision at a time. It’s messy, generous, occasionally soapy, and never pretends grief and comedy can’t sit in the same scene.

For Eagle Brothers Episode 1 — A Wedding Disrupted EP 01
A Wedding Disrupted
Feb 1, 2025
Ma Kwang-sook finally marries Oh Jang-soo, the Eagle Brewery owner who raised his four younger brothers alone and still writes them letters like a father instead of a sibling. She steps into the family expecting nothing but warmth — then the wedding day itself goes sideways before the reception ends. Across town, LX Hotel chairman Han Dong-seok gets introduced as the lonely widower his daughter keeps trying to set up on blind dates.

For Eagle Brothers Episode 2 — A Fateful Phone Call EP 02
A Fateful Phone Call
Feb 2, 2025
Ten days into her honeymoon, Kwang-sook gets the call that ends it — Jang-soo dies instantly in a delivery-truck accident, and the brewery and four brothers-in-law suddenly belong to her. Grief barely has room to land before logistics take over: funeral arrangements, a business she’s never run, and a family that just met her. In the middle of it, hotel owner Han Dong-seok wrecks her wedding dress and flatly refuses to pay for it, giving the two of them their first real fight.

For Eagle Brothers Episode 3 — Leaving the Brewery EP 03
Leaving the Brewery
Feb 8, 2025
After the funeral, the four brothers ask Kwang-sook to walk away from Eagle Brewery — she’s family by marriage, not blood, and none of them are ready to accept her running their late brother’s company. She’s left holding grief and rejection at the same time, with no clear next step. Meanwhile Dokgo Tak, founder of rival Silla Brewery, starts quietly plotting to swallow Eagle Brewery whole while the family is at its weakest.

For Eagle Brothers Episode 4 — A Life-Changing Decision EP 04
A Life-Changing Decision
Feb 9, 2025
Wholesalers storm the brewery demanding answers, and Kwang-sook sees up close just how close to collapse Jang-soo’s company already is. Instead of walking away like the brothers asked, she decides to take it over herself and become the family’s breadwinner. It’s not a triumphant decision so much as a stubborn one — she’s tested, resisted, and still standing.

For Eagle Brothers Episode 5 — The Makgeolli That Cures Insomnia EP 05
The Makgeolli That Cures Insomnia
Feb 15, 2025
Kwang-sook’s new brew — Jang-Kwang Makgeolli, named half for her late husband — does something unexpected: it gives chronically insomniac Han Dong-seok his first full night’s sleep in years. A cemetery run-in over their late spouses turns into an awkward lunch that exposes just how differently they’re built. Later, a drunk Kwang-sook mistakes Dong-seok for Jang-soo at a hotel dinner and goes in for a kiss, mortifying them both.

For Eagle Brothers Episode 6 — A Chaotic Dinner and a Mistake EP 06
A Chaotic Dinner and a Mistake
Feb 16, 2025
A family dinner meant to smooth things over with the brothers collapses into chaos instead, proof that Kwang-sook’s new role isn’t earning trust just because she wants it to. Drunk again afterward, she stumbles into another run-in with Dong-seok at LX Hotel — his arrogance and loneliness on full display in the same breath. The two keep colliding in ways that look like conflict but read like something else entirely.

For Eagle Brothers Episode 7 — The Phone He Quietly Returned EP 07
The Phone He Quietly Returned
Feb 22, 2025
Kwang-sook can’t remember most of her drunken night out — until she realizes Dong-seok was the one who found and returned her lost phone without saying a word about it. Dokgo Tak plays dirtier, tipping off the bank about Jang-soo’s death to choke off the brewery’s loans, but Kwang-sook won’t budge. A makgeolli-tasting invitation to LX Hotel puts her face to face with just how much power Dong-seok actually holds.

For Eagle Brothers Episode 8 — No Deal With Silla Brewery EP 08
No Deal With Silla Brewery
Feb 23, 2025
Kwang-sook flatly turns down Silla Brewery’s buyout offer, which only makes Dokgo Tak angrier that LX Hotel is buying makgeolli from Eagle instead of him. He goes after the bank next, trying to freeze the brewery’s loans outright — a threat Kwang-sook refuses to fold under. Away from the business war, Se-ri steps in to babysit Beom-soo’s daughter Ha-ni and the two start seeing each other differently through the child.

For Eagle Brothers Episode 9 — Kang Soo's Accident and Dong Seok's Fury EP 09
Kang Soo’s Accident and Dong Seok’s Fury
Mar 1, 2025
The youngest brother Kang-soo gets hurt in an accident, and Kwang-sook’s guilt over it says everything about how fast she’s started thinking of these brothers as her own. Dong-seok, meanwhile, finds makgeolli stashed in his car trunk and loses it — the incident traces straight back to Kwang-sook or the brewery. It’s a small, almost silly collision, but it keeps their orbits crossing in ways neither one planned.

For Eagle Brothers Episode 10 — First Traditional Liquor in a Luxury Hotel EP 10
First Traditional Liquor in a Luxury Hotel
Mar 2, 2025
Kang-soo collapses during training and ends up choosing to leave the Navy SEALs for good, a decision Kwang-sook backs by pulling him straight into the brewery instead. It pays off fast — Eagle Brewery becomes the first traditional Korean liquor supplier to a luxury hotel, a milestone Dong-seok watches unfold on the news with more interest than he’d admit. Beom-soo thanks Se-ri for babysitting with a lunch date that’s really a thank-you in disguise.

For Eagle Brothers Episode 11 — So Yeon Comes Back for Money EP 11
So Yeon Comes Back for Money
Mar 8, 2025
Kang-soo moves into the brewery house at Kwang-sook’s insistence, a decision that visibly unsettles her mother Ju Sil more than anyone says out loud. Then Cheon-soo’s estranged wife So Yeon flies back from the US — not to reconcile, but to demand cash and her cut of the inheritance. Ju Sil tries thanking Dong-seok with an expensive-looking gift that turns out to be a cheap fake, an embarrassment nobody needed.

For Eagle Brothers Episode 12 — So Yeon's Divorce Demand EP 12
So Yeon’s Divorce Demand
Mar 9, 2025
So Yeon doesn’t stop at money — she wants a full divorce and the brewery liquidated so she can walk away with her share, putting real pressure on Kwang-sook’s ability to hold the family together. Dong-seok’s read on Kwang-sook keeps getting worse with every half-heard conversation. In a lighter thread, Kang-soo catches actual feelings for Bom during a hospital visit, and a jealous Ok-boon buys the entire building housing her piano rival just to get her evicted.

For Eagle Brothers Episode 13 — Blind Dates and Bad Acting EP 13
Blind Dates and Bad Acting
Mar 15, 2025
Ju Sil finally snaps at Cheon-soo for going to Kwang-sook for money instead of standing on his own, a rare moment of the family’s cracks showing openly. Pressured into blind dates she doesn’t want, Kwang-sook improvises a plan — act broke and terminally ill until every suitor runs. Dong-seok claims none of it interests him, then can’t stop eavesdropping on every single date anyway.

For Eagle Brothers Episode 14 — The Golfer Who Wouldn't Take the Hint EP 14

Her act finally fails on a professional golfer who won’t be deterred — and Dong-seok happens to catch them at the range, stunned by how good she actually is at the sport. Se-ri chooses a sick Ha-ni over Han-gyeol’s scheduled visit, a small decision that says a lot about where her priorities already sit.

Ok-boon, done waiting, hires a private investigator to confirm what she already suspects about the woman’s hidden past. Dong-seok, meanwhile, catches Kwang-sook entering a hotel room with another man and jumps straight to gold digger — she has to explain the man was just her old boss, furious that his default read on her is always the worst one.

Eagle Brewery lands a real win — official makgeolli status for the LX Hotel festival — a title that sends Dokgo Tak into a rage over his own snubbed brand. Ok-boon finally gets the proof she needs on Heung-soo’s girlfriend, a hidden child and a dangerous ex included, but can’t bring herself to use it yet.

Dong-seok drives a drunk, oblivious Kwang-sook home and feels his heart race even as she badmouths him on the phone right next to him. The next day she apologizes properly, and for once, the misunderstanding actually clears instead of curdling into another one.

What actually happened For Eagle Brothers ends exactly where a weekend family drama should — with everyone paired off, forgiven, and gathered in one room. Kwang-sook finds out Dong-seok quietly had eye surgery just to keep a promise about staying healthy for their baby, and in the same stretch of episodes learns she’s carrying twins instead of one. Dokgo Tak, released from prison after his sabotage plot finally collapsed under its own weight, shows up at Eagle Brewery to apologize to the family — Kwang-sook specifically — instead of running from them. The finale closes on Kwang-sook’s twins being born healthy, capped by a joint hundred-day celebration where Bom and Gang-soo quietly confirm they’re a couple too.

For Eagle Brothers (2025) — Kwang-sook and Dong-seok at the hundred-day celebration for their twins

What it means for Kwang-sook and Dong-seok Their relationship spent 54 episodes solving the same basic problem from every angle — two people who lost a spouse and convinced themselves love a second time wasn’t allowed. Dong-seok hiding his eye surgery rather than worrying her is the show’s last word on how far he’s come from the cold, suspicious chairman of episode two, who once accused her of gold-digging over a hotel room mix-up. The pregnancy, and then the twins, aren’t just a happy-ending flourish — they’re the show closing the loop on a marriage that began, on both sides, with grief instead of romance. Ending on new life instead of a wedding is a deliberate choice: the wedding wasn’t actually the finish line.

Dokgo Tak’s redemption, such as it is Giving the villain a genuine apology scene instead of a quiet offscreen sentence is the show trusting its own softness one last time. Dokgo Tak spends the back half of the series losing everything — his company, his marriage, his daughter’s trust — and the finale doesn’t pretend that erases what he did to the Oh family. But it does let him walk back into Eagle Brewery and say the words out loud, which is more accountability than most K-drama antagonists ever get. It’s a small scene, but it matters: the show built an entire arc out of the idea that people can actually change, not just get punished.

The rest of the family gets their endings too For Eagle Brothers was always an ensemble underneath its central romance, and the finale spends real time paying off every subplot it opened. Beom-soo finally proposes to Se-ri, closing out a relationship complicated by her father’s schemes and her mother’s secrets. Heung-soo and Ok-boon, the show’s comic-relief couple for most of its run, get a baby of their own by the finale — proof the writers took their romance as seriously as the main one. Even Gang-soo, whose entire identity got upended mid-series when he learned he wasn’t blood-related to the Oh family, ends the show settled and happy with Bom, revealed in the same scene as everyone else’s celebration.

The KDW verdict The title translates to something like ‘please take care of the five eagle brothers,’ and the finale makes sure every single one of them is actually taken care of — which is a rarer accomplishment in a 54-episode drama than it sounds. What makes the ending work isn’t the plot mechanics (embezzlement exposed, villain arrested, couple married) so much as the show’s insistence that family was never really about blood in the first place. Kwang-sook became an Oh by marriage and grief, Gang-soo stopped being one by DNA test, and neither fact changed how the finale treats either of them. For a KBS weekend drama built on that many moving parts, it sticks the landing.

✍️ KDramaWorlds Editor’s Take

Our honest take — is it worth your time, and who’s it really for.

🍺 Brewery Comeback 💔 Slow-Burn Chairman Romance 👪 Found Family 🦅 Five Eagle Siblings

There’s a scene early on where Kwang-sook, still raw from her husband’s funeral, watches wholesalers storm the brewery demanding payment she doesn’t have — and instead of folding, she starts making calls. It’s not a triumphant hero moment; it’s someone figuring out how to survive in real time, and that scrappiness is what carries the show through all 54 episodes. Family-run business melodrama is well-trodden ground in Korean weekend dramas — see also Iron Family — but For Eagle Brothers earns its runtime by actually giving all four brothers arcs instead of leaving them as scenery around the romance.

For Eagle Brothers (2025) — cinematic still

Uhm Ji-won and Ahn Jae-wook’s chemistry works because the show doesn’t rush it — Dong-seok spends a genuinely embarrassing number of episodes assuming the worst about Kwang-sook before he earns the right to like her, and the slow accumulation of small kindnesses (a returned phone, a rescued trip to Sokcho, a hospital stay spent trading comic books) does more work than any grand gesture could. What the show gets right, the way Family by Choice does in its own register, is treating found family as just as legitimate as blood family — Kwang-sook becomes an Oh through grief and stubbornness, not paperwork, and the finale never lets anyone forget it.

The side plots occasionally threaten to sprawl — Dokgo Se-ri and Oh Beom-soo’s romance, Mi-ae’s hidden son, Heung-soo’s on-again piano-academy rivalry — but a 54-episode runtime has room for all of it, and none of the threads get abandoned. This isn’t peak-prestige Korean television; it’s comfort programming executed with real craft, the kind of show where you can predict the ending in episode three and still enjoy watching it get there.

👍👍👍 BEST FOR 👍👍👍
🍺 Viewers who want a long-haul family drama with an actual satisfying payoff for every character 💕 Anyone who likes a slow-burn CEO romance built on small gestures instead of big declarations 🏠 Fans of found-family stories where the ‘family’ part matters as much as the romance

⚖️ Final Verdict
What works
Uhm Ji-won anchors all 54 episodes without the character ever feeling like a passive victim of circumstance
All four brothers get real, distinct arcs instead of existing purely to react to the leads
The slow-burn romance earns its slowness — every step forward is motivated, not stalled for runtime

What to know first
54 episodes is a real commitment — this is a weekend family saga, not a tight 16-episode romance
The sabotage/corporate-espionage plot runs a little cartoonish next to the family drama
Some side arcs (Mi-ae and Dokgo Tak especially) take a long time to pay off

7.8 / 10— A long, generous weekend family drama that treats every one of its five ‘brothers’ — and the woman who ends up raising them — like they matter.
