Oh In Joo (Kim Go-eun), Oh In Kyung (Nam Ji-hyun), and Oh In Hye (Park Ji-hu) grew up side by side in grinding poverty, bound by the kind of loyalty that only comes from having nothing but each other. When In Joo’s closest colleague dies suddenly and leaves behind 70 billion won in hidden cash, the three sisters are dragged into a conspiracy that reaches into the highest, darkest corners of Korean society — the Jeongran Society, an elite network that has operated above consequence for decades.

In Joo fights to protect the money and her family’s future. In Kyung chases the truth as a relentless reporter. In Hye gets tangled in the seductive orbit of the Won family, whose wealth hides something far more dangerous than privilege. The three Oh sisters, who once only dreamed of escaping poverty, now find themselves locked in a life-or-death confrontation with the most powerful and ruthless family in the country.

📺 Episode Guide

Spoiler-light recaps — enough to remember where you left off, nothing that ruins the ride.

Little Women Episode 1 — The Orchid and the Debt
EP 01
The Orchid and the Debt
September 3, 2022 · tvN
In Joo’s ordinary, debt-drenched life collides with something far larger than she can understand when her only real friend at work dies under suspicious circumstances. The episode sets up the sisters’ world with deceptive efficiency — three women who have only ever had each other, suddenly standing at the edge of something they cannot yet name. The contrast between their cramped, cluttered apartment and the cold marble wealth of the Jeongran Society is established in a single cut.

Little Women Episode 2 — Seventy Billion
EP 02
Seventy Billion
September 3, 2022 · tvN
In Joo discovers the full scope of what Jin Hwa Young left behind — 70 billion won, hidden, and not entirely accidental. The question the episode poses is devastatingly simple: what would you do? Kim Go-eun plays every beat of In Joo’s internal collapse with precision, and the Jeongran Society begins to take shape as something older and colder than a simple murder motive.

Little Women Episode 3 — Blue Orchid
EP 03
Blue Orchid
September 10, 2022 · tvN
The blue orchid begins to reveal its meaning — a thread that runs through decades of the Jeongran Society’s darkness. In Kyung disrupts the high-society party celebrating Hyo Rin’s art prize and draws dangerous attention to herself. In Joo’s first visit to the mental hospital peels back the first layer of what the Won family is actually protecting. The episode introduces Won Sang Ah properly — and Uhm Ji-won makes it immediately clear that this character is not going to be a simple villain.

Little Women Episode 4 — The Secret Garden
EP 04
The Secret Garden
September 10, 2022 · tvN
In Hye is commissioned to paint Won Sang Ah’s portrait in a private garden, and the pull of that world — its beauty, its calm, its total lack of financial desperation — is made palpable. Meanwhile, In Joo and In Kyung argue about whether the money is a windfall or a trap. Choi Do Il emerges here as something harder to place than ally or enemy, and Wi Ha-jun plays the ambiguity with a stillness that makes every line feel like a calculation.

Little Women Episode 5 — Inside the Machine
EP 05
Inside the Machine
September 17, 2022 · tvN
Both older sisters take new positions that put them closer to the people they’re investigating — In Joo under Won Sang Ah at the art museum, In Kyung at a new media outlet. The episode moves deliberately, building out the conspiracy’s architecture while Won Sang Ah’s sudden overseas departure sends a ripple through everyone orbiting her. The sense that the sisters are being positioned, not just positioned themselves, is the episode’s quiet and unsettling accomplishment.

Little Women Episode 6 — The Evidence
EP 06
The Evidence
September 17, 2022 · tvN
In Joo and In Hye uncover something that changes the nature of what they’re holding, and the weight of that discovery fractures the sisters’ certainty about what to do next. In Kyung’s reporting triggers a media backlash that puts her job and her safety in jeopardy. The Jeongran Society stops watching and starts moving — and the episode ends with the unmistakable sensation that the grace period is over.

Little Women Episode 7 — Digging Backward
EP 07
Digging Backward
September 24, 2022 · tvN
The sisters shift strategy — understanding the past is the only way to survive the present. In Kyung breaks open a secret at the core of the old case she’s been chasing, and the revelation reframes everything the audience thought it understood about who is protecting whom. In Joo, now fully aware of how exposed they are, starts forming a counter-plan. The episode has the taut, interior energy of a thriller that knows exactly where it’s going.

Little Women Episode 8 — Singapore
EP 08
Singapore
September 24, 2022 · tvN
In Joo travels to Singapore and receives a welcome that answers nothing and makes everything more dangerous. Back in Korea, In Hye and Hyo Rin try to reach Won Sang Ah, who has been effectively imprisoned by her own family. The episode is the series at its most cinematically ambitious — the overseas setting used not for spectacle but for isolation. Won Sang Ah’s ambiguity reaches its peak here: is she a prisoner, a weapon, or something the drama hasn’t named yet?

Little Women Episode 9 — The Cost
EP 09
The Cost
October 1, 2022 · tvN
In Joo faces real physical danger in Singapore after a violent encounter that makes clear how far the Jeongran Society’s reach extends. In Kyung, back in Korea, makes a deal she cannot take back in order to keep her sister alive. The episode asks what loyalty between sisters actually costs, and the answer is more than either of them planned to pay. The Jeongran Society’s power is no longer abstract — it is immediate, and it is everywhere.

Little Women Episode 10 — The Counter
EP 10
The Counter
October 1, 2022 · tvN
Park Jae Sang’s political future begins to crack under the weight of the sisters’ counter-moves. In Hye and Hyo Rin take decisive steps toward escape — not just from the Won family, but from the version of themselves that nearly got swallowed by it. In Kyung goes public with the truth in a way that cannot be undone. This episode earned Little Women its peak viewership of 9.7% — and it earns every decimal of that number.

Little Women Episode 11 — The Collapse
EP 11
The Collapse
October 8, 2022 · tvN
Park Jae Sang makes a desperate and drastic move that destabilizes the entire social order the Jeongran Society built. The aftermath does not bring relief — it brings the Society’s most concentrated and furious wrath. The penultimate episode raises the stakes to their absolute ceiling, and the sense of dread it produces is remarkable for how quiet some of its key scenes are. The finale is one episode away, and the drama has earned every second of tension.

Little Women Episode 12 — Three Women
EP 12
Three Women
October 9, 2022 · tvN
The finale begins in a courtroom, where an unexpected appearance dismantles the Jeongran Society’s most carefully constructed lie. In Joo — who started this series desperate for money, willing to compromise nearly everything for it — makes the choice that defines her: she exposes the corruption rather than profit from it. In Kyung’s journalism becomes the instrument of reckoning. In Hye chooses her future on her own terms, beside Hyo Rin, free of the Won family’s grip at last. The three Oh sisters, each having found their own form of independence, are finally reunited — and it means everything.

🏁 Ending Explained

The courtroom changes everything. The finale opens not with a confrontation or an action sequence, but with a legal hearing — understated, formal, and devastating. A witness appears who was never supposed to appear. Their testimony collapses the Jeongran Society’s central alibi with a simplicity the drama has been earning for twelve episodes. It is a quiet scene that lands with enormous force precisely because director Kim Hee-won refuses to let the camera look away from the faces of the people being destroyed by the truth.

Little Women (2022) Episode 11 — The Collapse

In Joo’s transformation completes itself. The woman who spent twelve episodes trying to hold on to the money — who rationalized it, hid it, bargained with it, and nearly lost herself to it — makes the decision that the drama always promised she would make, but never made inevitable. She chooses exposure over security, integrity over survival-mode logic. It is not a heroic speech or a dramatic gesture. It is simply the right choice, made by someone who finally has the courage to make it. Kim Go-eun plays the moment with the emotional restraint of someone who has been building toward this exact beat since episode one.

Park Jae Sang and the Jeongran Society fall in layers, not all at once. The conspiracy does not end with an arrest or a single revelation — it dismantles piece by piece, as In Kyung’s reporting, In Joo’s evidence, and the courtroom testimony combine into something no PR operation can contain. Uhm Ki-joon’s performance across the finale is one of the show’s understated achievements: Park Jae Sang is never cartoonishly evil in defeat, just a man who genuinely believed the rules didn’t apply to him, watching that belief collapse in real time.

Little Women (2022) Episode 7 — Digging Backward

In Hye chooses herself. The youngest sister’s resolution is perhaps the most emotionally satisfying of the three, because it’s the one that required the least spectacle and the most courage. She walks away from the Won family’s world — its beauty, its comfort, the version of herself she almost became inside it — and she does it beside Hyo Rin, who made the same choice. The drama never oversells this moment. It lets two young women simply walk out of a door and trusts the audience to understand what that costs, and what it means.

The ending is about what the sisters built, not what they escaped. The final scene is the three Oh sisters together — not in triumph, not in relief, but in the quiet normalcy of people who have been through something and are still standing. It echoes the logic of Louisa May Alcott’s original novel without ever being precious about the reference: what endures is not money, not safety, not even justice — it is the bond between them. Little Women is a story about three women who went into a fight with the most powerful people in the country, armed only with each other, and somehow that was enough.

✍️ KDramaWorlds Editor’s Take

Our honest read on why this drama is worth your time — and who it’s for.

🌑 Class Warfare👯 Sisters First🕵️ Conspiracy Thriller🎭 Cinematic

Little Women is the kind of K-drama that makes you understand why the medium can do things film can’t. Its premise — three impoverished sisters against the most powerful elite network in Korea — could have been a standard revenge thriller with a feminist paint job. What Kim Hee-won and screenwriter Jung Seo-kyung built instead is something slower, stranger, and more emotionally precise. The conspiracy is genuinely labyrinthine, the stakes keep escalating without ever feeling manufactured, and at the center of everything is a sisterhood that feels real in the way very few K-drama ensembles do. Kim Go-eun’s In Joo is one of the finest female leads in recent memory — flawed in ways that matter, driven by motivations that feel human rather than heroic, and capable of moral ambiguity that the drama never punishes her for prematurely. What makes The Glory feel like a different species of revenge drama is the same thing Little Women has: a protagonist who earns her ending rather than being handed it.

Little Women (2022) — cinematic still

The drama’s most divisive element is, predictably, Won Sang Ah. Uhm Ji-won plays her as something the show refuses to fully resolve — not quite villain, not quite victim, never entirely on anyone’s side. Some viewers find this infuriating. We find it the most interesting creative decision the show makes. The conspiracy is the vehicle; Won Sang Ah is the soul. Her relationship with In Joo is the drama’s most complicated emotional thread, and the finale’s handling of it will land differently depending on what you were hoping for. The Singapore arc in episodes 8 and 9 occasionally loses the tight pacing of the first half — it’s the one section where the conspiracy’s ambition starts to feel like a weight rather than a propulsive force. But it recovers, and episode 10’s peak viewership of 9.7% is not an accident.

Little Women is ultimately a drama about what it costs to believe in something when the world is designed to make people like you believe in nothing. The three Oh sisters go into a fight they have no business winning, armed with journalism, art, and stubbornness — and the show treats all three of those things as genuinely powerful weapons. The ending divides opinion, and that’s partly because it refuses to give the audience the cathartic destruction shot of the Jeongran Society’s downfall. What it gives instead is something more complicated and, we’d argue, more honest: three women standing in the aftermath, still together. For a show about class warfare, Little Women is surprisingly gentle in its conclusion — and that gentleness is a choice, not a failure.

👍👍👍 BEST FOR 👍👍👍
👯 Viewers who want female-led ensembles done right
🕵️ Fans of slow-burn conspiracy thrillers with genuine depth
🎬 Anyone who values cinematic direction over genre comfort

⚖️ Final Verdict
What works
Kim Go-eun’s performance — layered, morally complex, completely believable
Three-way sisterhood chemistry that never feels performative
Uhm Ji-won’s Won Sang Ah — the most interesting antagonist of 2022
Kim Hee-won’s direction — every episode feels composed and intentional

What to know first
The finale is divisive — not everyone finds the resolution satisfying
The conspiracy grows very complex in the back half — keep notes
Episodes 8–9 (Singapore arc) slow the momentum noticeably
Not a comfort watch — this is dense, dark, and 75 minutes per episode

8.4 / 10One of 2022’s best K-dramas — watch it for the sisters, stay for Won Sang Ah, and accept that the ending will make you think rather than cheer.
