A Love Other Than Yours
📋 Drama Overview
Everything you need to know before you hit play.
Namgung Ho (Seo Kang-joon) and Lee Mi-do (Ahn Eun-jin) have been together for ten years, long enough that marriage looks less like a choice than a formality left to schedule. Ho, an easygoing assistant manager, is ready to take that next step without much second-guessing. Mi-do, a film director stalled out in her career, isn’t as sure — and the show’s whole premise sits inside that gap between them, before either one does anything they’d call a betrayal.
What complicates things is that neither of them goes looking for it: new people arrive in both of their lives around the same time their relationship is supposed to graduate into something permanent. A Love Other Than Yours, from director duo Hwang Seung-gi and Lee Ga-ram and writer Yoo Su-ji, premieres on KBS2 September 12, airing Saturdays and Sundays through late October, with Prime Video carrying it internationally.

✍️ KDramaWorlds Editor’s Take
Straight talk — our real opinion, and the viewer it’s made for.
Ten years is long enough that a relationship stops being a series of decisions and starts being a default setting — which is exactly the trap A Love Other Than Yours sets up before it does anything else. Namgung Ho treats marriage as the obvious next beat in a story that’s already been written; Lee Mi-do is the one starting to wonder whether she’s still reading from the same script. Strangers Again worked a similar seam a few years back — a long relationship examined through slow erosion of certainty rather than one dramatic betrayal.
What makes the pairing interesting is that neither Seo Kang-joon nor Ahn Eun-jin is playing a villain in the making. New feelings arriving uninvited for both of them, right as their decade-long relationship is supposed to graduate into marriage, is a messier and more honest premise than a straightforward affair plot. Motel California found real feeling in that same register — love stories where nobody is entirely right and nobody is entirely wrong.
This is a preview, not a review — nothing has aired yet. KBS2’s Saturday-Sunday melodrama slot has a long history of taking relationships this seriously, and a two-director, single-writer setup suggests a show built for a slow, patient unraveling rather than a twist-driven one.
