What a Boss Wants
📋 Drama Overview
A quick primer before the opening scene.
Kwon Do-hyuk (Sung Hoon) runs O Yes Entertainment, and the company is in trouble. He is a CEO who trusts data over instinct, sleeps badly, and keeps his private life on a short leash. Then he hears a voice on an album, and the singer behind it turns out to be Lee Eun-chae (Oh Se-young), the vocalist of the indie band India Red, who performs on stage as “Soo.”
From there the two are tied together by a working arrangement that neither of them planned to turn into a romance. What a Boss Wants is adapted from a web novel of the same name and premieres on MBN on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at 10:20 PM KST. It runs 12 episodes, airing every Wednesday and Thursday through December 17.

✍️ KDramaWorlds Editor’s Take
Here’s our honest verdict, and who’s going to love it.
Boss romances are easy to pitch and hard to make fresh, so the useful question is what this one adds. Here it is a voice: Do-hyuk finds Eun-chae through an album, not a meeting, and she performs as Soo, a stage persona that gives her a second identity he does not know how to read. Sung Hoon brings the romantic-lead experience he showed in Perfect Marriage Revenge, and Oh Se-young is a lead who can do both comedy and feeling.
The supporting cast is strong for a 12-episode run. Lee Jung-shin plays Moon Tae-kyeong, a doctor, Park Jeong-hak plays Do-hyuk’s father, and Lee Choong-joo is his friend Seo Jin-woo. If you want to see Oh Se-young in a very different mood first, The Judge Returns is already on the site.
No episode has aired, so this is anticipation, not a verdict. The setup is clear, the Wednesday-Thursday slot suits a quick binge, and the teaser shows the first meeting. We will add recaps once the episodes start.
